Ruby on Rails Senior Developer

Min Rails Experience: 2 years

UX/UI Front-end Designer

Location: Newlands, Cape Town

Min Experience: Mid-level to Senior

Teach Me 2 is looking for an experienced front-end designer to join our rapidly growing tech team. We have an awesome Silicon Valley type office culture. We have a highly experienced software engineering team and are looking for a designer of equal skill and talent. One of our devs runs his own coffee roastery – so if you like coffee, you will love working here!

    Job Includes:
  • Creating wireframes with our team.
  • Translation of wireframes to pixels (psd).
  • Cutting up psd’s into html/css.
  • Conceptualising new designs and user interactions.
  • Constantly looking for opportunities to improve UX through design.
  • Small element of print design may be required.
  • Working in an open-plan office in a small team.

    Must have:
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Portfolio demonstrating beautiful web-based UIs.
  • Proficiency in Photoshop/Illustrator.
  • Firm grasp of UX/UI current trends.
  • High proficiency in HTML/CSS.
  • Solid knowledge of web standards, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.

    Nice to have:
  • Experience with Javascript (backbone.js even better).
  • Mobile UX/UI experience.
