Pre-application Checklist
Here’s a short checklist to help you assess whether you have what it takes to make it onto the Teach Me 2 team.
- 1. Do you have your own transport? (This is a mandatory requirement)
- 2. Are you above and beyond 1st Year University? (We unfortunately do not accept 1st Year students)
- 3. Do you have extensive knowledge in the learning area you wish to teach?
- 4. Are you able to demonstrate your knowledge by way of qualifications or results?
- 5. Are you a warm and encouraging person?
- 6. Can you communicate and listen effectively?
- 7. Has anyone ever recognised you as a role model or leader?
- 8. Has anyone ever complimented you on your ability to teach and empathise?
- 9. Are you willing and practically able to commit to lengthy tutoring programmes? Tutoring jobs can range from 5 lessons to 30 lessons (with an option for the client to renew) – usually two lessons per week. It is not crucial to clear your diaries when you join us, but it is important for us to know that you are willing to give some level of weekly commitment to tutoring.
- 10. Do you have convenient internet access and are you willing to commit to making frequent use of your web-based tutor profile, to help us keep track of your tutoring work?
If your answer to most or all of these questions is yes, then you might make the grade as a Teach Me 2 tutor!
