Ever since I was a child, I have had a passion for Maths that cannot be described in words. I have competed nationally in Mathematics Olympiads, and achieved 91% for AP Mathematics (IEB) in Matric. I also achieved 98% for Mathematics (NSC).
I completed the Additional Mathematics syllabus and repeated the same work in first year of university so I completely understand the work.
Even though I did not achieve top marks in this subject I took 2 high-level Mathematics courses in university (1 in first and 1 in second year) both of which expanded on the Advanced Program Mathematics in high school.
I really enjoyed AP Maths at school. I feel that students should continue with this subject up until Matric because, as realised at university, the content they learn in this subject is extremely helpful after school, should one continue with Maths.
