I am Sasha, and I believe that learning, connection and happiness are what life is all about! So, with that in mind, I want to help people to achieve their learning goals.
I found as a student that patience, humour and compassion were the qualities I appreciated most in my teachers. I apply these when helping anyone with any task, regardless of their skill level. I believe that attitude and effort are two of the most important factors when learning, and they are promoted by positivity.

English
I enjoy reading and writing and put maximum effort into English at school. This led to consistently high achievements in the subject, particularly in essay writing. I would like to make it as accessible and enjoyable for others as I have found it.
Afrikaans
Afrikaans is my second language and I enjoyed it as a subject in school. I am confident that I am able to assist with learning the basics of the language as well as comprehension skills.
Life Sciences (Biology)
I am passionate about Biology and loved to host studying sessions for the subject during school.
Life Orientation
Life Orientation is an important but often overlooked subject. It is highly enjoyable if taught with application of the life skills it teaches in mind, which is what I do when tutoring this subject.
Drama
I received high marks for both the theory & practical components of Drama in matric, playing multiple lead roles in school productions. Essay writing is an essential skill for the theory exams and I am able to assist with this important component.
Art
Visual Art is a passion of mine and I enjoyed helping others with the practical and theory aspects of the subject during school.
Conversational English
I have volunteered in the past to teach English in Russia to young children and found the work highly rewarding. I believe that, with patience and practice, people of any age can benefit greatly from conversational language tutoring.
Mandarin
I majored in Chinese Studies and graduated with distinction in the subject. I was also fortunate enough to visit China twice through a partnership programme with Sun Yat-Sen University. There I attended intensive Mandarin lectures and gained experience using the language practically.
