English

I participated in both public speaking and the English Olympiad. In grade 12, I achieved a gold certificate for English Olympiad and was a finalist in the individual public speaking competition. I finished high school as my school's top English student.

Geography

I finished high school as my school's top Geography student and take a number of university level Geography modules as part of my degree. I am passionate about this subject and often read up about topics in Geography in my free time.

History

I took History as an additional subject from grade 10 to 12 and was awarded my school's top History student award in all 3 of those years.

Life Orientation

I finished high shcool as my school's top Life Orientation student.

Afrikaans

I achieved a distinction in this subject and am fluent in the language despite not being a home language speaker. Due to this, I have a unique understanding of how to assist students who have little exposure to Afrikaans.

Life Sciences (Biology)

I was my school's top Life Science student. Additionally, I have done some university-level Biology courses which give me a deeper insight into this subject.

Physical Science

I achieved distinctions in this subject throughout high school and understand common mistakes students make and how to fix them. Additionally, I have some university-level Chemistry experience.

Mathematics

I have a good understanding of how to explain Mathematics and know how to work around common issues in this subject. I also did AP Mathematics in high school.

Environmental Studies

I am a second-year Environmental Science student who is passionate about the subject. I wish to help others understand it better.

Chemistry

I achieved a distinction in Chemistry at university. I have a good understanding of the work and am confident in my ability to assist others.

Geography

I achieved distinctions for my Geography modules at university. I know how to use interesting methods to make the theories more understandable and enjoyable.
