I am a varsity student that thrives on understanding and establishing how other students best understand concepts. I am passionate about studies of the brain & mind, as well as how beautiful maths is.
I pride myself in my ability to connect with students and identify what they need help with. Giving others the opportunity to ask questions and gain understanding in their own time and style is something I prioritise. My experience in tutoring, au pairing and even my own school years has given me first-hand knowledge of managing school work, tests and how to adapt to your curriculum.

Eloquence is a vital part of communication, and through a love of reading, I have come to understand the importance of being able to convey yourself no matter the setting. I am able to help others with all aspects of the language.
I understand the language and can help a student to the best of my ability to excel in it. The simple structure of Afrikaans makes it a great language to learn and teach. I achieved a distinction for Afrikaans in Highschool.
I have broad experience in teaching Maths. Finding out how a student visualizes problems is the first step to helping them acquire a deeper understanding of the subject and the world around them. I am confident in my ability to assist students.
Drama is the subject I am most passionate about. I find both the theory and practical work to be fascinating - it is an outlet and an opportunity to better understand human nature.
Life Sciences (Biology)
I majored in Biology in my first year of university and continue to study aspects of life sciences in Plant and animal sciences, genetics and Physiology. I will approach my lessons with patience and diligence, and assist students as best I can.
Acquiring a strong foundation in Science is necessary for doing well in school. After self-studying most of the work in depth and excelling in the subject, I would like to use my knowledge to help others who struggle with Physics to excel as well!
I assisted with homework whilst au pairing and the opportunity to practice skills to cement understanding, which is important to me. I have 3 years of experience tutoring and I have had very good results from my students.
Life Orientation overlaps with many Psychological concepts, which is one of my majors in my degree. Teaching Life Orientation is linked to teaching emotional intelligence.
I have familiarised myself with preparation techniques that I've seen to work in my experience in over three years of tutoring. I am a passionate tutor ready to tackle any challenge and assist students with achieving their academic goals.
