Bio
I am a diligent Biochemist/Scientist at TUKS university. I understand the challenges that students face in the understanding of subjects, having once also been in their shoes.
In addition to being fully bilingual (Afrikaans/English) I find the most effective way for students to increase their marks in a short amount of time. I aim to understand what hurdles each individual student may have - each student needs assistance using a different approach. I am experienced at guiding others: prefect/mentor/sports captain in school and the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra.

- School Tutoring
Afrikaans
I am a fluent Afrikaans (as well as English) speaker. I understand the difficulties that students face in this subject and how to overcome the uphill battle of "typical high school Afrikaans" by building an easy-learning environment.
English
I have participated in several English Olympiads, had my creative writing published in the school magazine, and also covered many Shakespearean works in depth. I understand the challenge of finding assistance in a subject as broad as English.
Life Sciences (Biology)
I am currently a second-year Biomedical Sciences student at the University of Witwatersrand. My "ORT highschool-IEB biology project" received a distinction. I am also well experienced in lab work and practicals.
Mathematics
In addition to tutoring scores of physics lessons a week and doing university mathematics I have taught many mathematics lessons to students ranging from grade 6-10 (with TeachMe2). I am experienced and know the ins and outs of the syllabus.

Violin
In my 11 years of experience playing the Violin, I have also taken on mentorship rolls with junior musicians in my orchestras/ensembles. - Johannesburg Youth Symphony Orchestra (JYO) (1st violin).
- Language Tutoring
Afrikaans
Fluent in English and Afrikaans. Most recently taught Tehila Afrikaans through TeachMe2 (American woman who had never spoken AFR before) for 2 months and she is now fluent. I'm very good at teaching sentence structure so that it sticks.
