Bio

I am hardworking, organized and passionate. I believe in a holistic yet systematic approach.

My own experiences in high school and my experience in tutoring for the past year means that I can relate to my students. I adapt my approach according to the individual needs of each student. I take great pride and pleasure in seeing how my students improve.

Achievements

• Choosing to pursue my passion after high school.
• Seeing my hard work during high school reap rewards.
• Learning that it is never too late to improve.

Subjects

  • School Tutoring

Drama

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Drama has been a lifelong passion and I am making a career out of it by studying a Bachelors degree in film at AFDA (www.afda.co.za). I have delivered consistently excellent results at school and I hope to bring to others what drama has done for me.

Music Theory

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Music theory is a subject that has taken me very long to master, and I believe I now have the skills to help others better themselves in this challenging field. I believe that music theory is a basic skill all musicians should have.

Afrikaans

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Afrikaans is one of the most beautiful languages still alive today. I hope to help both non-Afrikaans speakers and Afrikaans speakers master and appreciate the language.

Economics

Grade 1 - Grade 12

To many, Economics is a dire and unnecessary subject. However, it is vital in understanding the workings of our world and country. I believe that I can help students understand the basics of Economics and, in effect, the world around them.

Life Orientation

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Many matric students struggle to see the need of Life Orientation. I can help them pass and do well, regardless of how they feel about the subject.

Mathematics

Grade 1 - Grade 12

Enjoyed maths in High School. I am passionate about teaching the subject.

English

Grade 1 - Grade 12

I have always enjoyed writing and reading - so much so, that I received a distinction in High School. I want to help nurture an appreciation of English in others.

Singing

Beginner (Grades 1 - 3) - Advanced (Grades 7 - 8)

I am trained in classical singing (lieder, opera, caberet) and musical theater. I have experience as a performer. I passed the Royal School grade 8 singing exam with distinction. I was named best singer for three consecutive years at school.

Reviews from others

“Daniel is great, always keen and very inspiring.”

Lindsay

“He seems to have a good grasp of Enrico's learning gaps and is able to address it. I would like some guidance in what Enrico should focus on outside of tutoring. Enrico seems to think the tutoring is all he needs to do. It would be great if Daniel can give him guidance in terms of studying on his own”

Villeen

“Daniels ability to connect with her was important and she would then make an effort to listen attentively. I would like to book more time with Daniel for Rebecca in next month for about 4 lessons prior to her final exams, perhaps previous exam papers could help her further. ”

Rozana

“I normally listen in on the lessons given and can hear that Siraaj has a better understanding of what is taught to him. In terms of Daniel focusing on what homework is given, I want to point out that one of Siraaj's weak points is comprehension, ie. reading a extract of material given and then answering questions thereon. I'm sure that as his understanding of Afrikaans improves he will be better equipped to answer these questionnaires more confidently”
