I obtained my Bachelor's degree in English at the University of Cape Town. I thoroughly enjoyed English during high school. I often helped fellow students to prepare for our English examinations. Grammar, literature and writing comes naturally to me

History

I found that you could do really well in History at school if you approached essay writing and answering questions in a tactical way, so I think I'd be able to help students understand what is required of them.

Mathematics

I tutored fellow students during my primary and high school years. I find that Mathematics is often taught in an under stimulating way, but there are multiple approaches to make it more digestible.

Afrikaans

I think that the foundation for learning a language is incredibly important. If a student is not given enough time and guidance in the beginning, then anything that is added to this uncertain foundation will not be solidified.

Life Sciences (Biology)

This is a school subject that all students can really excel in if they are helped with finding efficient ways of studying that work for them. It can also be made in to something that is really exciting and interesting to learn about.

Life Orientation

This subject is often disregarded, but it is a subject that is easy to acquire high marks in. High marks for LO can help boost an overall grade, with very little effort. Students only need to be helped with finding an effective study method to excel.

Homework

There is often a gap between work that is done at school and when it comes to actually having to study the work covered- this gap often lies with the homework. By bridging this gap, a little help can result in drastic overall improvements.

English

English is my first language, so I've always found English easy to understand and teach. I have a degree in English, so I have a heightened understanding of the language, as well as a true level of comfort with it

Conversational English

I have many friends whose first language is not English and I really enjoy conversing with them, as well as helping them along the way. I am easy to talk to and very approachable.
