Bio

I am a Ugandan Finance Postgraduate student at UCT. I look forward to the opportunity to teach, learn new things and meet new people in a professional and mutually beneficial manner.

Through my work experience, I have led and been a part of project teams. In these situations, I often had to make sure junior team members and new hires were always in the loop and comfortable enough to contribute ideas to help see the projects through. I am always supporting my postgrad classmates in any way I can when we are faced with academic challenges.

Education

• 2021 - Present - Master of Commerce in Applied Finance
• 2017 - 2019 - Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business
• 2014 - 2017 - BSc in Quantitative Economics

My Proudest
Achievements

• 1. I was promoted from an intern to a full-time Investment Analyst at my workplace in record time for the firm.
• 2. Getting accepted to the Finance and Tax postgraduate school at UCT.
• 3. Receiving the "Hero of Emminence" certificate from my High School for scoring straight As on my final exams.

Subjects

  • School Tutoring

Mathematics

Grade 1 - Grade 12

I've always been good at math. I love the subject. Teaching it would be a rewarding experience for me. I scored an A in the equivalent of my Matric Exams in Uganda

Economics

Grade 1 - Grade 12

I scored an A in the Matric equivalent in Uganda. I believe Economics should be taught using real-world scenarios

Microeconomics

First Year

I enjoyed taking microeconomics as a course because it allowed us to look at how the economy was affected (or could be affected) by the actions of individuals and businesses. Breaking down economic principles into day-to-day situations is a fun way to learn economics.

Research

First Year

I have undertaken research at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Although daunting at the start of a project, research can be fun when carried out systematically and embracing digital tools.
