I am a hardworking, loyal, committed and compassionate individual. I have good organisational and people skills, which I have developed as a result of running my own non-profit organization.
I enjoy spending time with kids and believe I would be good at working with them. When doing career assessments I am often told that I would be a good teacher. I have the patience to go through challenging concepts at a slow pace and I am also understanding and kind-hearted.
• I matriculated from Redhill Highschool, 2011 with 6 distinctions (despite missing most of grade 9 due to cancer)
• Currently, I am in my third year studying Business Science at UCT
• In 2005, I achieved Protea Colours in hip hop dancing and represented SA at the world championships in Germany
• My proudest achievement is overcoming cancer at the age of 14 and as result starting a non-profit organisation which has raised over 5 million rand for children across South Africa
Mathematics
I loved Mathematics in school and it was always one of my top subjects. I did both normal Mathematics and Mathematics paper 3 in matric. I have continued to do two courses of Mathematics (MAM1010 and MAM1012) at the University of Cape Town.
English
Coming from an english speaking family with a father working in journalism I believe my English is proficient enough to teach others. I thoroughly enjoyed the subject when I was in school and it was amongst my highest marks.
Business Studies
I am currently studying Business Science at the UCT and therefore believe I have adequate knowledge to teach this subject. I enjoyed business studies so much that it inspired me to study a business degree at university level.
Life Orientation
Life Orientation is a subject that came easily to me. I believe I could help a student to easily understand it and perform better at it. I would also feel a great sense of accomplishment if I could help them by teaching them important life lessons.
Statistics
My highest mark in school was for my favorite subject, Mathematics paper 3. This subject includes Statistics. I have gone further to doing two years of Statistics courses in university.
