Bio

I am a compassionate and friendly advocate for lifelong learning. I believe in leading with understanding and teaching with creativity.

I have been dedicated to tutoring and sharing my experience for several years. I enjoy connecting with others, and especially cherish the feeling of seeing someone understand something that they did not previously. I enjoy helping people, and therefore I put effort into it.

I am an MA candidate in Literary Studies in English at Rhodes University. I have tutored English Literature, as well as Linguistics, to undergraduate students since my second year at the university.

Linguistics

First Year - Third Year

Linguistics is one of my undergraduate majors, for which I consistently received distinctions. I have experience in various fields of linguistics, and completed a research paper in Appraisal. I have also previously tutored undergraduate students.

I graduated with a joint Honours degree in Mandarin and English Literature in 2019, which places me at HSK 4 (upper intermediate) level proficiency. I have also previously tutored undergraduate Mandarin students.
