I am a voracious consumer of science, books, interesting facts and literature. An aspiring academic, researcher and lecturer working towards sharing and creating new knowledge.
I believe the first ingredient in guiding others on their path of knowledge acquisition is helping them see where it fits within the greater design of a concept, or simply how they will use it in their everyday lives. I endeavor to share my enthusiasm and knowledge of the natural world and languages with learners with patience, humour and kindness.

I received distinctions in all my grade 12 subjects. I recently finished a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal Plant Science at the University of Pretoria, and I am currently pursuing a master's degree.
Natural Science
I hold a BSc (Hons) degree in Plant Science and am currently pursuing a master's degree. I have a broad knowledge of most natural science fields (biology, chemistry and physics). As a tutor, I want to help learners with their course material and motivate them to pursue a career in a STEM field.
Mathematics Literacy
I received my distinction in Mathematics in grade 12. I hold a BSc (Hons), and use mathematical literacy skills on a daily basis. As such, I am very familiar with the building blocks of the skills learners must acquire in order to use basic mathematics in their everyday lives.

I'm a native Afrikaans speaker, with a broad knowledge of Afrikaans vocabulary, grammar, literature and culture. I write short stories and poems (some having been published on the LitNet website). I am very enthusiastic about Afrikaans and I would love to help students to get excited about it too.
English

Experience with numerous undergraduate biology modules, including genetics and botany. Member of Golden Key International Honor Society. I love to share my knowledge of molecular genetics, evolutionary biology and plant science; including ecology, physiology, taxonomy and phytomedicine.
