Theory of music starts from pre-grade 1 in UNISA but due to my progress, I managed to skip pre-grade 1 and go straight to grade 1. I learnt Theory of music for 1 year and it remains embedded in my mind, Therefore I would like to share it.
I completed my grade 6 theory exam (with distinction) as part of music as a matric subject.
I am passionate about Music and play 6 instruments. I took Music for IEB Matric as well as played Royal School and Trinity exams (for Violin and Piano) and wrote Trinity theory exams.
I have a strong background in music, playing both violin and piano. I finished my Royal Schools of Music theory exams up to grade 6 level as well as achieving an A in my NSC examinations.

I received my Masters in Musicology from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. In 2008 I was awarded an Honours degree in Chamber Music from the same institution, after graduating cum laude with a BMus in clarinet, music theory and music history.
I schooled at the Drakensberg boys Choir school for 6 years (2003-2008), the schooling I received there gave me experience in both theory (Grade 5 unisa) and practically (classical voice grade 7 Unisa). I then completed my Grade 8 singing in Matric.
I have completed keyboard Trinity Grade 8 practical and took music theory up to Matric level.
I have completed the Royal Schools Music Exam at Grade 8 level for flute and recorder.
I had Music as school subject up until Grade 12 and got a Distinction as final mark. I also passed the Unisa Grade 6 music theory exam.
I have played the cello for 15 years and did music as a subject at school. I can play cello at an intermediate level. I have taken private cello lessons for ~15 years as well, so I am familiar with teaching styles and techniques as well.
