I have completed the Royal Schools Music Exam at Grade 8 level for flute and recorder.
Having being able to read and play music since I was 5 years old, and doing external exams (UNISA) in violin, piano and music theory, I am very well-equipped to teach the concepts of theory and history in Music.
I schooled at the Drakensberg boys Choir school for 6 years (2003-2008), the schooling I received there gave me experience in both theory (Grade 5 unisa) and practically (classical voice grade 7 Unisa). I then completed my Grade 8 singing in Matric.
I completed my grade 6 theory exam (with distinction) as part of music as a matric subject.
I have completed keyboard Trinity Grade 8 practical and took music theory up to Matric level.
I received my Masters in Musicology from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. In 2008 I was awarded an Honours degree in Chamber Music from the same institution, after graduating cum laude with a BMus in clarinet, music theory and music history.
