Bio
I am and have always been a teacher at heart. I adore intellectual discussion and connecting with people, and that is why the study and practice of education are my calling in life.
I have genuine compassion and patience for people, realizing at worst that they will resist my help, and at best, they will embrace and enjoy learning and make my job all the more worthwhile. I am great at finding creative ways to demystify abstract concepts, enjoying the challenge of explaining anything as if my student were a 6-year-old.

• 2017 - 2022 - English and Afrikaans tutor (Grades 2 to 10) on and off.
• 2017 February - September - Tutoring Au Pair to Grade 4 twins
• 2011- 2022 - Casual Sunday school teacher, on and off.

Achievements
• I self-funded and completed my Masters degree in Law.
• I followed my passion and left full-time compliance work to pursue a career in teaching and educational study.
• I obtained my first TEFL certificate in 4 weeks.

Mathematics
Although my final mark in Matric was quite low, I consistently maintained an average of at least 70% throughout my school career which I can show through school reports. I love Maths and would love the chance to inspire learners, especially female learners, to become excited about it as well.
English
My spoken English is impeccable and I believe I have the skills to help children grow in their grasp of the language.
Afrikaans
I practise conversational Afrikaans regularly with an Afrikaans family living on my parents property. I am also currently assisting two grade 4 boys with their Afrikaans work as their au pair. I'm also keen to increase my own language skills as well.

Criminal Law
Criminal Law was easily my favorite module in my undergraduate degree. I enjoyed assisting friends in understanding the abstract concerns as well as grappling with them myself.
