A post-graduate student with a history of education focused in Psychology, Counseling, Communication and English. Five years of academia has created a passion for learning and for teaching.
Apart from counselling experience and the desire to help others, I am patient and understanding with my students. I teach to the strengths of the students and support their growth and development. Moreover, students have different learning styles and I adjust my teaching style accordingly. These are just a few ideas that I have learned through my journey as a teacher.

Research Methodology
My research career started after learning about the study skills needed to formulate an academic argument. I began tutoring undergrad students in these skills, such as research methodology and statistical processes. I engage students to think critically and develop their own research skills.
Sociology
During my undergrad career, I majored in Social Psychology, Contemporary Society and applied perspectives in Sociology. My passion for Psychology and learning is what fueled my desire to excel, and to teach and motivate other young sociologists.

Counselling
My experience as a Counselor extends to trauma counseling at the Kirstenhof Police Station, school counseling, and community counselor for a non-profit organization called the Counselling Hub. All-in-all, approximately 3 years experience.
Writing Techniques
My favorite subject in high school was English. I love writing and having studied Communication Skills and Psychology, I have a wealth of knowledge around writing techniques, argumentative flow, structure and writing within a context.

I have been playing guitar for 12 years and have reached advanced levels of playing having performed at restaurants such as Olive and Oil, and Lakeside Cafe in KZN. I love teaching the guitar and watching my fellow students progress and develop.
