Mathematics

I came top of Maths at the end of my Matric year. I find it easy to teach and explain all dimensions of the subject, and have taught Maths to children aged 6-13 at a school in England, as well as privately tutored 14-18 year-olds in South Africa.

AP Maths

AP Maths was my favorite subject at school, and I found I had a natural understanding of the content we covered. I helped many of my peers with the subject at school, tutored 2 grade 10s, and regularly sold my notes which many people found useful.

Music Theory

I was on a Music Scholarship in high school, and it was a subject I understood thoroughly and dedicated a lot of time to. I assisted many younger students with Music Theory, and also achieved a distinction for my ABRSM Grade 5 Theory exam.

Afrikaans

I find Afrikaans simple to learn and understand, and I am able to confidently converse in the language. I am confident in teaching Afrikaans, Literature in particular, and helped my brother (currently 17) increase from 65% to 82% in 2 months.

English

My English teacher at High School helped me to develop a love and passion for the subject - particularly literature and creative writing. I have previously tutored 3 High School students privately.

Physical Science

I believe that everybody is capable of understanding Science, and it is a subject that excited me. From my experience, I know that persisting with the often difficult subject matter, and explaining it in simpler terms is beneficial to the student.

History

I am confident in my knowledge of the NSC History syllabus particularly, especially essay writing skills and perfecting answering technique. Mastering these aspects of the subject are a guaranteed way to improve.
