Afrikaans

My home language is Afrikaans and I absolutely love it. In school it was always one of my best subjects and I was always looking for ways to improve. I participated in multiple ATKV competitions such as the annual spelathon and redenaars.

History

I absolutely love History and took it all the way through school. I found that studying it like a story made it almost impossible to forget and I think that knowing our history just helps us navigate through life better.

Mathematics

In school, there was nothing more satisfying for me than struggling with a really complicated Math problem and finally getting the right answer. I believe that Maths really does develop your critical thinking skills which are essential for life.

Physical Science

I loved taking Science in school and being able to apply scientific principles to everyday life. I find knowing the chemical formula for nail polish remover and understanding why safety belts are essential just gives you an edge in life.

Life Sciences (Biology)

I absolutely loved learning about the human body and about nature. While the sketches and processes can seem daunting, it is definitely worthwhile mastering!

Accounting

My mother is an Accountant and her pet peeve is dealing with people who cannot read their bank statements. She says that Accounting is a life skill and I couldn’t agree more.

English

English was one of my favorite subjects in school, especially literature. I found that doing an in-depth analysis of literary works really made me appreciate their genius so much more.
