Drama was my passion at school, I loved every moment of it and acted in every showcase my school offered from Grade 8 to Matric. I also dabbled in directing a RAPs production.

About Rhys

Part of our Grade 10 and 11 Drama responsibilities were to guide and tutor guys in younger grades at the end of each year. My practical abilities are stronger than my theory but I would be able to advise students on better ways to study Drama theory.

From a young age Dramatic Arts allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone, I believe this is great for children of all ages. I also have a huge interest in Drama Theory, such as the history of Theatre and Performance Art.

I work as a professional actor, having starred in numerous TV, film, and theatre projects. I also studied Performance and Theatre at UCT, graduating with distinction.

Experience has taught me that drama requires creativity and disciplined nature. There are many ways to unlock the arts in anyone, I have worked with shy and bold students alike. All you need is expertise and belief which is what I have to offer.

The dramatic arts were an integral part of my education from the age of 7 till my very last days of high school. My passion will definitely be an asset in terms of showing students how beneficial the study of drama can be in many areas of academia.
