I’m a curious and passionate scientist who loves viruses and learning. I bring dedication, enthusiasm, and a love of discovery to everything I do—and I enjoy inspiring others along the way.
After spending the past 10 years as a dedicated student, I understand the hard work and determination it takes to achieve your goals. My friendly and approachable nature helps students feel comfortable and confident. I am passionate about supporting learners and believe that everyone deserves a little sunshine in their lives—and I would love to be that ray of positivity for my students.
Education
• Matriculated with five distinctions, earned a BSc in Zoology, BMedSc in Medical Microbiology, MMedSc in Medical Virology, and currently pursuing a PhD on mosquito-borne viruses.

Microbiology
First Year - Postgrad Medical bacteriologyI have hands-on experience with bacteria, viruses, and parasites, using classical and molecular techniques. Skilled in designing experiments, analysing data, and explaining complex concepts clearly, I bring knowledge, accuracy, and enthusiasm to help students explore science.
Zoology
First Year - Postgrad BSc ZoologyI studied Zoology, gaining hands-on experience in animal biology, ecology, and animal behaviour, including conducting research and analysing data. This gave me a strong foundation in understanding the natural world and how living systems interact.
Life Sciences (Biology)
Grade 1 - Grade 12 CAPSI discovered my love for biology in matric, excelling in the subject and enjoying every topic. The endocrine system fascinated me the most, and exploring how hormones control the body sparked my curiosity and laid the foundation for my future studies in science.
Consumer Studies
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCI received a distinction in Consumer Studies in matric and loved the practicals the most—especially because I got to cook and eat the food afterwards! At university, I focused on topics like food intake, nutrients, and minerals, deepening my interest in health and nutrition.
