I have taken isiXhosa as a subject from grade 5 right through to grade 12 and have received several distinctions, particularly in Matric. It's my Home Language and have helped out with a few students at school, including Medicine University students.

isiXhosa is my home language and I am therefore fluent in it! I was also in the debate team for my home language during my matric year. I know it very well and I did well in all 3 papers, 1 2, and 3.

As a native isiXhosa speaker, I teach with precision and cultural sensitivity, focusing on tonal nuances where pitch affects meaning, click sounds produced using non-pulmonic airstreams, and an agglutinative structure that modifies root words with prefixes and suffixes.

I started doing isiXhosa in Grade 7. I transitioned from Setswana. For a beginner, I did very well. In Grade 12 I passed with 85%. I volunteered in an orphanage in Grahamstown and most of the kids I taught obtained over 70%.

Xhosa is my home language, and I passed it well at school. I often teach people Xhosa in every aspect of my life and I am very passionate about teaching people my own language.
