Bio
I am a warm, calm and easy going person. I strive to create a positive learning environment for my learners to feel free to make mistakes and to ask questions.
Firstly because I enjoy tutoring, it literally brightens up my day. I put extra effort into my work to ensure that my learners grow to love and understand whatever subject I may be tutoring.
Education
• I am currently studying BSc in Life Sciences at the University of South Africa
My Proudest
Achievements
• My proudest achievement is my little family and just my overall personal growth.
• I am extremely grateful for my life and family.
Subjects
Mathematics
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, IEB, Cambridge A levelsSince I tutor maths, for me starting from the basics and working my way up with the learner is what works best. Most often than not people don’t understand maths because they don’t know the fundamental basics and rules of mathematics.
Life Sciences (Biology)
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, Cambridge A levelMy approach to how I tutor Life Sciences is determined by the learners' problem areas. I am passionate about this subject and will enable students to reach their potential. I can confidently assist in teaching the subject
Geography
Grade 1 - Grade 12 CAPSMy approach to tutoring geography is simply through visualisation. In my lessons I will be using pictures, videos and articles to help the learner visualise the concepts in their head first so that when we go through the theory it is much easier to understand.
Xhosa
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSC, IEBI am a native IsiXhosa speaker and I’m also just very fond of the language. I have experience tutoring isiXhosa for roughly 6 months to a year
Life Orientation
Grade 1 - Grade 12 NSCThis was my favourite subject in high school and with the growing awareness in mental health I have grown to really appreciate the subject and will do my best to make sure the learner grasps every concept.
Reviews from others
We are grateful for Khanyi's assistance to our daughter. She has had a complete turnaround and has gained confidence in Maths because of Khanyi. Seeing her getting A's now is indeed amazing. We are grateful; keep doing what you do, Khanyi. You are investing in a bright future for young lives. Thank you!

Khanyisile has assisted Ethan since last year, and I am really impressed with Ethan's progress. As Khanyisile mentioned, Ethan is capable but needs to calm his nerves during exams so that his marks can reflect his capability. I can see in his homework and school work that he has a firmer grasp of Maths concepts. I know Ethan is progressing well as not once did he ever refuse a tutoring session.

Khanyisile is always ready to listen. My daughter enjoys her classes. She is always encouraging my daughter.

Refilwekagiso recommends Khanyisile as an excellent tutor. She is always looking forward to the lessons.
— Alfred
She developed rapport with Abby (a naturally shy and introverted teenager who was so nervous to even join the call) in the first session!
— Kathryn
She communicates well and is willing to be flexible with time work and other aspects of learning to accommodate Masana's needs.
— Kutelani
Khanyisa breakdown complex concepts into simplier steps making it easier to gasp. She makes lessons interesting, She is patient, supportive and well organised.
