A driving force. I love pushing both myself and other people to achieve whatever it is that we set our minds to.
I've been a volunteer tutor for the better part of my university career, both in Cape Town and in my home town. I really enjoy breaking down concepts and helping people grasp them in a way that they can understand, because it's easier to remember something when you understand how it works.

• Being in the top 3 of my class in high school was definitely a highlight of mine as that was grueling year.
• Being part of the Shawco:KenSO committee and being in the background, involved in making things happen for the participants was honestly one of my best experiences.

I'm currently in my final year, majoring in accounting. Accounting was my favorite subject in high school. I also volunteer as an accounting tutor during vac for grades 10-12 back home and I really enjoy it.
Life Sciences (Biology)
Life sciences is a subject that I have always found interesting. I did really well in it because I did more than just try to regurgitate the content, I ventured to understand it as it's so relevant in day to day life. Teaching it would be a joy.

This is a great introduction into accounting for anyone who didn't do accounting in high school, but I also found it eyeopening because I really understood the background of the treatment of transactions.
