Bio
I have 40 year experience teaching Afrikaans HL and/or FAL. I do everything in my power to make learning an enjoyable experience. I’m dedicated to helping learners achieve their full potential.
As a retired Deputy Principal and long-serving Head of the Afrikaans Department, I consider myself an experienced and highly organized educator who ensures that lessons are not only productive but also enjoyable. While I integrate technology in my teaching, I equally value face-to-face engagement to support learners in reaching their full potential.
Education
• BA (Ed) = University of the Free State (1984) majoring in Afrikaans/Nederlands and Drama.
• Forty years experience teaching Afrikaans HL and/or FAL.
• I was also the Departmental Head for DigiTech.

• Being nominated for provincial Educator of the Year in recognition of my integration of technology in teaching and my contribution to enhancing technological practices in the school.
