Bio
I’m Chayemba “Chai” Malinga, a Mechanical Engineering student and Maths and Physics tutor. I’m passionate about learning and self-growth, exploring the world and using insights to improve myself.
I’m passionate about turning knowledge into practical skills. I guide students to see the real-world value of what they learn and equip them with tools to apply it and continue learning on their own. Additionally, the knowledge that I have gained through my tertiary studies has given me a wider view of the skills that are critical to continued growth and development of students.

My Proudest
Achievements
• I’m proud of designing an automated Arduino colour-sorting robot, creating a last-mile overhead rail delivery system for a residential estate, and programming an F1 circuit simulation with CFD-based front wing analysis (Simply put, I was able to simulate the performance of the car).

Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEB, NSC, CAPSI achieved a distinction in Core Mathematics and a Level 6 in Further Studies Mathematics. Now studying Mechanical Engineering, with three years of tertiary maths completed, I use real-world applications to make concepts clear and engaging.
Physical Science IEB
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEB, NSC, CAPSI achieved a distinction in Physical Science and have since completed Engineering Physics to NQF Level 7 and Chemistry to NQF Level 5. This strong practical foundation helps me link theory to real-world applications students can relate to.

Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI achieved a distinction in IT in my matric year and went on to take 2 additional courses in university that focused on programming and its applications in applied physics. I have a personal love for it and am well versed in Java as well as Matlab (python based engineering programming software)
Drama
Grade 1 - Grade 12 IEBI loved being able to destress from my STEM. It helped build my confidence and my articulation. I headed the Dramatic Arts department in my matric year and excelled in my theory and practical. I received a 94% for my main monologue and 90% for my contemporary dance piece.
