I thoroughly enjoy Research and Writing - received 2 extra marks for my IBDP from a 4,000 word extended essay. Hence, I would be able to aid the student on how to understand the literature, and consolidate their ideas in a properly structured essay.

Economics

As a Economics honours student at the University of Cape Town, I will be able to assist students studying at the high school through to third year university level. My main interests, however, are in developmental economics

Politics

I currently have a BSocSci in Politics and Governance. However, my main interests lie in Political Economy (71%), Foreign Policy (65%), and any subjects which focus on International Relations.

Sociology

I thoroughly enjoyed studying sociology as this was my major for first and second year at Carleton University (in Canada) and UCT. Industrial Sociology was my main specialization; focusing on the effects of economic issues on the human society.

Soccer

I started playing Senior Varsity Soccer when I was in middle school (whilst simultaneously playing/captain for the JV team). Additionally, my role as captain for multiple sports has given me with the skill necessary to coach beginner level players.

Writing Techniques

I thoroughly enjoy research and writing - currently undergoing an 8,000 word thesis on the informal sector of Zimbabwe. Hence, I would be able to aid the student with researching skills, consolidating ideas, and writing them in proper essay format.

Spanish

The Spanish Standard Level course requires both grammatical and literature comprehension of the Spanish language. Hence, I can aid the student in reading, writing and conjugating verbs in their multiple tenses.
