Having two younger sisters and having au paired two girls (ages 4 and 6) I feel I am fairly equipped in this area. I am able to turn literacy into a more enteractive and fun subject. I have a passion for reading and I enjoy working with kids.
I decided to study Foundation Phase Teaching in 2013 as I wanted to help develop children to become independent and capable individuals. I have taught Grade 2 children through a contract post at Good Hope Seminary Junior School.
I am currently studying a BEd in Early Childhood Development and work part-time at a pre-school. I also work as a writer and am proficient in English and knowledgeable in language and grammar.

As a qualified Speech-Language Therapist (Bachelor & Masters degrees) - I have been trained in literacy development. I am able to teach your child pre-literacy skills (e.g. Phonological awareness) as well as literacy development for all ages.
My first language is English. I feel that I have patience, especially with children. I have a younger brother who is in Grade 6 and I often help him with his homework and find that I feel comfortable teaching that standard.
