I graduated BComm LLB in 2014 and am currently doing my LLM. I'd like to offer my wisdom and guidance, especially for the first 2 years of study which I believe are the most important for establishing the foundation of your understanding of law.
I am currently a 4th year Law student and will be able to assist with first year, second year and some third year modules.
I received Distinctions for all of the above modules. A big part of doing well in University is making the work your own. Unfortunately lecturers often don't have time to make specialized methods of learning for each student. That's where I come in!
I really have a great understanding of all the modules done so far in my LLB course. I also regularly used to tutor my class mates as I tend to grasp concepts really quickly.
I managed to pass all these courses and I have also tutored in most of them. While studying these courses, many students expressed an interest in forming study groups with me in order to assist them in the areas they were struggling.
I studied first year law in 2014 and struggled to grapple with the basic principles and concepts of Roman Dutch Law which are imperative. Now, in my third year of law I am confident with such content and how to manage and structure assignments.
I graduated with an upper second in Law from UCT. I am doing my LLM abroad from September. My specialities include criminal law, criminal procedure, the law of evidence and labour law, having achieved within the top students for these subjects.
I have been on Dean's List through my undergraduate career and have a good understanding of the Law.
I eat, sleep and breathe law on a daily basis. I am currently in my second year of a full-time programme and am a faculty mentor at my law school for new students due to my open attitude, willingness to help and my overall work ethic.
