Music is one of my greatest passions. Along with a distinction in school music I also have a distinction in UNISA Grade 5 Music Theory. I have also studied two years of Music Theory and Analysis at the University of Cape Town.
I have completed the Royal Schools Music Exam at Grade 8 level for flute and recorder.
I have taken music theory for 18 years, both outside of school (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music syllabus up to Grade 5) and at school (at matric level).
I received my Masters in Musicology from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. In 2008, I was awarded an Honours degree in Chamber Music from the same institution, after graduating cum laude with a B.Mus in clarinet, music theory and music history.
Theory of music starts from pre-grade 1 in UNISA but due to my progress, I managed to skip pre-grade 1 and go straight to grade 1. I learnt Theory of music for 1 year and it remains embedded in my mind, therefore I would like to share it.

I have been playing piano since Primary School. I did the Grade 5 theory exam in order to complete the Grade 7 piano exam.
I've achieved an 80% or above aggregate for Music Theory throughout high school. I play a number of instruments, and have experience when it comes to music.
