I received my Masters in Musicology from the University of Stellenbosch in 2012. In 2008, I was awarded an Honours degree in Chamber Music from the same institution, after graduating cum laude with a B.Mus in clarinet, music theory and music history.
Theory of music starts from pre-grade 1 in UNISA but due to my progress, I managed to skip pre-grade 1 and go straight to grade 1. I learnt Theory of music for 1 year and it remains embedded in my mind, therefore I would like to share it.
I wrote ABRSM and UNISA grade 6 exams and passed with distinction.
I am currently teaching 5-year-old girls how to play Piano and understand some music theory. I did my Grade 7 Piano exam through ABRSM as well as Grade 5 Music theory.
I have completed the Royal Schools Music Exam at Grade 8 level for flute and recorder.
